FMC's Halloween Haunt is ON!

Come fill your Treat Bucket for FMC's Halloween Haunt- 5 full days of fun and contests. Each task you complete gets you an entry into the raffle on Saturday, October 31st, 2009.

The premise is simple:
Every night at midnight (Eastern) the FMC ghost will hide 5 bats in regular forums and 3 ghosts in Platinum Forums. Each day, you can start a thread in the Treat Bucket section. The thread is visible to ONLY you and Mods- Track your progress there without anyone else seeing what you're doing. At Midnight, your thread will be moved over to the Moderator's section so we can total up how many entries you have for that day.

But wait! There's MORE:
Each day, we'll have an additional contest to get additional entries to the raffle!
On Monday, October 26th, expect to play Keyword Chaos! A keyword will be picked at random and the first person to say that word is the winner! This thread will be in the Chat section and open to everyone.
On Tuesday, October 27th, watch for a thread of rapid-fire Halloween Trivia. This thread will also be in the Chat section and open to everyone.
On Wednesday, October 28th, Pumpkin Decorating Contest- Post a photo of your pumpkin all decked out for Halloween- it can be carved, painted, anything! This thread will be in the Holiday section (open to everyone).
On Thursday, October 29th, Costume Contest! Show us yourself in costume, your kids in costume or your dog in costume! The thread for this will be in the Life section and open only to Platinum Members.
On Friday, October 30th, we wrap up our Halloween Haunt with a hunt for The Great Pumpkin. The pumpkin will hidden somewhere on our site and all who find him will recieve an entry to the raffle. This contest is open to all members. Post the link to your answer into your thread in the Treat Bucket.

The prizes:

We love Miley's new look!

We almost hate to admit it, but we are loving the new Miley Cyrus video- Party in the USA. The song is fun and infectious, but most of all- we love Miley's new look! She looks so wholesome and all-American, a drastic change from the girl pole-dancing at the Kid's Choice Awards. Miley's new look is so natural and great for women of all ages, we decided to copy it!

Miley's look uses a lot of soft, natural colors and it's easy to duplicate it at home. First find a foundation that matches your skin tone. We recommend L'Oreal Infalliable Liquid Makeup (Target $11.99)- a little goes a long way and for most skin types, it doubles as a concealer!

For blush, Miley uses a light pink, natural shade. We recommend Neutrogena Mineral Sheers Blush (Target, $10.59).

Miley looks to be using a bronze tinted cream Shadow, but if you want to get a softer, more natural, everyday look, we recommend the Sonia Kashuk Eye Shadow Quad in Showstoppers (exclusively at Target, $10.99). For best results, use the cream color as a base and then put the other shades on top (lightest color toward the nose, darkest brown on the outer eye and black as an accent). Then use a charcoal eyeliner and your normal mascara as usual.

Finally, for lips, you want to use a shade a little softer than your natural lip color. We recommend Cover Girl Outlast Lip Stain (Target, $7.89). Lip stains will typically look more natural and last longer than a lip stick, and they feel less cakey on your lips. Follow with your normal gloss, blot, and you're done!

Maternity Monday brings us back to Polarn O. Pyret!

If you've been paying attention, you'll know that we're in love with Polarn O. Pyret! Their designs are fun and functional and their take one childhood is refreshing! But there's more to love about PO.P than just kids clothes- they have Mommy clothes too!

We love this basic halter maternity dress! It's got a built-in sports bra and the material gathers just above the waist to give some definition and curve to your figure. At only $35.25, it's a bargain!

Our favorite item though, by far, is this adorable peasant style skirt ($28.25). It's 100% cotton, totally comfy-looking and that print is simple, but stylish. And to go with it? We love this funky, maternity cardigan sweater ($52.50).

To sweeten the deal, use the code VIP23 to get 30% off your first order and free shipping over $100!

To talk about Polarn O. Pyret and all things maternity, kids and fashion, join our forum (it's free). And to get FMC news delivered straight to you, join us on Facebook and Twitter!
